Twelve of the twenty two cards that make up the major arcana are representative of the signs of the zodiac.

The relevant star sign card is placed in the centre position of the reading and a pattern of cards is selected to form the prediction. This is done according to the time and date and is sometimes known as a calendar spread.

Each card is read in turn to form a rough guide of what to expect in the coming month ahead.
